Plus One Learning helps special-education support professionals and classroom teachers plan instruction around each learner goal. This page covers two things: this website, and the Plus One product, which is preparing for its first educators.

This website

This website collects nothing about you. It has no analytics, no advertising or tracking tools, no cookies, and no forms that send us anything. The only way to contact us from the site is an email link, which opens your own email app. We only receive what you choose to send.

Like any website, the service that hosts it receives the technical details of each page request, such as your IP address and browser type, in order to deliver the page.

Learner information in Plus One

Plus One is built for special-education support professionals, classroom teachers and other educators. It will hold sensitive information about children, so here is what we do and what we do not do.

Whose information it is

Learner information belongs to the school or the educator who put it in. When you sign up, you confirm that you work with these learners and are allowed to use Plus One for that work. We use the information only to run Plus One for you.

What we will not do

  • We do not sell learner information.
  • We do not show advertising or use learner information for marketing.
  • We do not build profiles of learners for any purpose other than your work in Plus One.
  • We do not use learner information to train AI models.

When AI is involved

Plus One uses AI providers, currently OpenAI and Anthropic. Before text from a learner’s record reaches a provider, we replace learner names with codes. You read the real names; the provider sees the codes. This has limits. If you type the name of a person who is not on your learner list into a free-text note, it may not be replaced, so please leave such names out of notes. Scanned pages and photos are read on our own servers. Only their text, with names replaced, is sent; the image itself is never sent. Voice recordings are not covered by the name replacement.

We are working toward zero data retention with both providers, which would mean they keep nothing from our requests. That is not in place yet.

Your school’s agreement comes first

If your school or district signs a data agreement with us, that agreement replaces the commitments on this page. Until then, the commitments on this page apply.

Parents and guardians

We do not contact parents or learners directly. Parents and guardians should ask their child’s school, and we will help the school answer.

Questions and deletion requests

To ask a question, or to ask us to delete a learner’s records or your account, email ivana@plusonelearning.com. We will reply in writing.
